Blockmakers - Quilt Block of the month



FEBRUARY IS THE LAST CLASS OF THE SESSION
Join us the last Saturday of each month and learn a new quilt block technique. From disappearing 9-patch, Rail Fence, Card trick and more, each month we will learn about and create a quilting favorite block. At the end of the year we will take our blocks and turn them into a sampler quilt, a series of cushions using the blocks or framed pieces for your sewing room..

Required Class supplies: 2 yards of a neutral background of your choice 
1 charm pack. Additional Fabrics may be required during the later class sessions.

Supplies Needed:  FEBRUARY CLASS (Three  different Blocks)
Sewing Machine, neutral sewing thread
Marking Pen or Chalk Marker

BLOCK 10 - DOUBLE ARROWS BLOCK (2 COLORS AND A BACKGROUND)
Color 1 – (4)  5” x 5” squares (same color)
Color 2 - (4 )   5” x 5” squares  (same color)
Background color – (8) 5” x 5” squares 

BLOCK 11 - DIAMOND BLOCK (3 COLORS AND A BACKGROUND)
Color 1 - (6) 5" x 5" squares (same color)
Color 2 - (2) 5" x 5" squares (same color)
Color 3 - (2) 5" x 5" squares (same color)
Background Color - (6) 5" x 5" squares

BLOCK 12 - FLYING GEESE BLOCK (SCRAPS AND BACKGROUND)
You will need scraps of various colors and your background fabric (a fat quarter)
scrap pieces cut: (7) 3" x 5 1/2"
background fabric cut: (14) 3" x 3"
background panel cut: (1) 4 1/2" x 16" and (1) 7 1/2" x 16"
